Corona has changed mobility in Germany. But what exactly has happened and how lasting are the observed changes? In cooperation with the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB) and on the basis of a grant from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), this is being researched nationwide with the survey-based mobility panel MOBICOR set up for this purpose. In addition, MOBICOR is extended by regional orders of the federal states Hesse, Baden-Wuerttemberg and Bavaria. The panel started in May 2020 and will continue at approximately six-month survey intervals until the fall of 2022.

The project results are regularly prepared in mobility reports. They include analyses focusing on mobility under the influence of Corona, while also looking at related topics such as mobile working or virtual mobility. In the current wave of the survey, which is being conducted as part of the WiSEV project of the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB) and is also funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the topic of the 9-euro ticket is moving to the center of the survey.

The study is conducted by infas Institute for Applied Social Science, MOTIONTAG and Nuts One. The project is led by the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB).
