Representative survey on current housing situation, environmental knowledge, attitudes and behavior, and acceptance of a CO2 price. Against the background of increasing energy poverty among German private households, infas conducted a population-representative telephone survey on behalf of the office of the German Council of Consumer Experts. The results are used by the client to further shape consumer policy in the housing market. The aim of the survey was, on the one hand, to gain comprehensive insights into the expenditure structure of households on housing and energy. On the other hand, it was intended to investigate how households perceive and evaluate different policy scenarios on sustainable housing and energy consumption, especially against the background of CO2 pricing and the current burdens under Corona.
